Jay-Z & Beyonce's COMBINED Net Worth Is Now Over $1 BILLION

According to a July 12 article, Jay and Bey's combined net worth clocks in at an estimated $1.255 billion. Yes, you've read that correctly. Hip-hop's favorite royal couple are officially Black Bill Gates in the making, with Yonce accounting for $355 million and Hov raking in $900 million.

The Carters' massive wealth is attributed to their several streams of income. Beyoncé's pretax annual earnings total approximately $100 million, largely in part due to her ability to to sell more records and draw larger crowds than her husband. The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour grossed $212 million from nearly two million attendees back in 2014. Not to mention, Bey's athleisure clothing line, Ivy Park, sold out almost immediately upon its launch back in April 2016.

Jay, on the other hand, is quite the investor. The rap mogul has built his empire by founding his own companies, such as TIDAL, as well as owning equity in other large entities. Back in 2015, the Everything Is Love rapper paid a reported $56 million to purchase the streaming service which is now valued at $600 million following an investment by telephone giant Sprint.

Jay Z Makes $40 Million Offer for Prince's Unreleased Catalog of Music

Rap titan Jay Z could become the owner of Prince’s unreleased music if a hefty offer receives the proper sign-offs.

TMZ reports that the TIDAL owner has already put in an offer of about $40 million for the late musician’s catalog of unreleased tunes.

Jay Z reportedly even went so far as to meet with Prince’s sister, Tyka Nelson and her husband, flying them out to New York City to discuss the multi-million dollar offer.

For the offer to be approved, the Brooklyn lyricist would need more than just a sign-off from Nelson. Although Nelson is Prince’s only full sibling, the late singer’s half-siblings would also be required to sign-off on the $40 million offer.

Currently, TIDAL serves as the only streaming service Prince’s music is available on.

Months before his death, Prince expressed his confidence in TIDAL and Jay Z during an interview with Ebony.

“TIDAL is a new company, it’s brand new,” Prince said. “They’re just getting their footing, and I think when there’s a company like that, or the OWN network — situations where we finally get into a position to run things — we all should help. It’s been a lot of fun.”
