Stream "Lil Man Got Heart" song by Rockwelz feat. Fred the Godson on Apple Music (((AUDIO)))

Rockwelz, a Queens, NY native, artist, producer, and songwriter announces the forthcoming release of his new single “Lil Man Got Heart” featuring music icon Fred The Godson.  The single will be available December 25th on all major platforms for streaming and purchase with pre-orders  available now.

The multifaceted artist is renowned for his prolific lyricism and heart wrenching deliverance stemming from an abundance of societal issues. “Lil Man Got Heart” is no exception to his carved niche. Joining forces with Fred The Godson, fully loaded with his own gritty yet relatable storytelling, heightens the hair raising emotion of the record.

“Lil Man Got Heart” is a tale of a young boy raised in the streets who lacks the know how to enjoy his youth.  The daily routine of grind and hustle to pay his mother’s bills scars his hands of calluses, while the street life often leaves him battered and bruised but never down for the count.  “Lil Man Got Heart”, simply because Uptown keeps his core pumping.

The duo flows over an arrangement of soulful beats mixed over turntable scratches. The record is set to top the charts and hold reign as a classic in Hip-Hop books and vinyl!

Steven Van Zandt: ‘Streaming Is a Disaster for Artists. A Disaster.’

Legendary musician, rock n’ roll curator, and actor Steven Van Zandt says the rise of streaming has been seriously detrimental to artists.

The rise of streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music Unlimited, and Pandora has worsened the lives of artists, according to one of rock n’ roll’s most celebrated musicians. Steven Van Zandt, a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and a core member of Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band, was a keynote interviewee at the recently-held Making Vinyl conference in Detroit.

At one point during the interview, Van Zandt traced the ascent of grittier rock n’ roll to the portable 45 record player, which allowed younger fans to listen to music in the privacy of their rooms. Previously, kids had to ask their parents to play records on the living room record player, where artists like Little Richard would never be permitted.

With the rise of internet toll lanes, internet access alone has now become a utility and they are successfully selling digital data that doesn't cost them anything! At the end of the day, with the evolution of the music industry, music streaming KEEPS the control in the interests of the major corporations. And I'm not to excited about contributing to an industry that has never recognized me anyhow.

Video Gaming now the Most Popular Form of Entertainment in the World?

Gaming has been loitering on the edge of absolute domination for some time but now it’s official - gaming is the most popular form of entertainment on the planet. More money is spent on games than on TV, movies, books, and just about any form of entertainment you can think of.

According to Reuters, gaming grew by 10.7% during the last year alone, while television continued its steady decline with an 8 percent drop globally. The total gaming revenue for the past year amounted to an estimated $116 billion, compared to $105 billion for TV and TV streaming services.

Compared to movies and music, gaming absolute the dwarfs the competition though. Just $17 billion was made from digital music sales and streaming, while movie box office totals for the past year amounted to $41 billion. So to clarify - gaming is now worth almost three times as much as the movie industry.

Gaming’s big then, no surprises there, but where’s the increased coming from? Growth in China is one of the leading answers. In China, game sales increased 14% per year on average and we’ve seen this with the huge increase in the number of Chinese players using Steam.

The other answer, of course, is... (Continue Reading)
