Metro Arts Presents: Capoeira Exchange 009 Sunday, July 15 1:00 pm - 4:00pm Union Station Ticketing Hall 12:45pm Meet in front of Starbucks, then a procession through the waiting room 1:00 - 1:30pm Classes for beginners and separate warm-ups for the more experienced 1:30 - 4:00pm Roda Join us for an afternoon of movement and music as we explore the beautiful, entrancing practice of capoeira. Audience participation is welcome! The event is led by local instructors Muito Tempo and Saracuru and will feature an introductory class taught by special guest, visiting Professora Sarara. Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that incorporates dance, song, music and oral history. Its roots are traced back to various countries in Africa, and was developed by African slaves in Brazil. Join us for an afternoon of movement and music as we explore this Afro-Brazilian practice.
